Blizzard has started to get some of the pre-Cataclysm launch events ready to go. One part of those events will be Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall. Blizzard announced their availability on the PTR today for players.

Nethaera PTR:Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall

Starting today on the PTR, testers will have the opportunity to rise up to the challenge of the Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall events. We're looking for your feedback and participation on the PTR to make these both memorable events in Azeroth's history.

Not in the PTR as of yet? Find out how to join in on the fun on the Test Forums here- http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=24702404509&sid=1

While it is new content, and all new content is good, I'm not sure about the whole thing. I mean the gnomes where a declining race since they didn't have a place to call their own. Sure getting them out of Ironforge and all is good, one less thing to trip over, but if they get comfy again they may start breeding again. No one really wants more Gnomes around, do they?

On the plus side if Gnomeregan is re-taken by the Alliance then we do not have to suffer through it as an instance while leveling. Or, at least I hope we don't! It always seemed like one of the most convoluted instances around, especially since it was meant for fairly new players.
