End of Nations is already looking to push the boundaries of what an MMORTS can offer and today fans got some good news. Trion Worlds and Petroglyph have announced that the game will adopt a free-to-play model at launch, offering a premium free-to-play service. In addition to the announcement, a new video featuring new gameplay footage has been released ahead of their appearance at this year’s gamescom event in Cologne, Germany.

We last got to see the game at E3 2011, where it had undergone quite a few changes and was still believed to be a subscription title.

Check out the new video and free-to-play announcement on the End of Nations website.
