It appears that once again, the rumor mill has gone into overdrive...

Blizzard has responded to the initial reports that all their future titels are going to be MMOGs. Rob Pardo made this statement

Nothing in that rumor is true in regards to Blizzard. If I had to guess, there was some confusion between what Vivendi has planned for its game division versus what Blizzard has planned. While Blizzard is owned by Vivendi, their game division operates seperately from Blizzard.

Also from Blizzard was this comment

I believe this was a misquote. We haven't announced any specific development plans beyond the upcoming expansion for World of Warcraft, and we don't have any intentions to focus on only one genre or platform with our future games.

The Cesspit has found and posted the slides from the Wall Street presentation by VU Games that triggered this rumor outbreak! They make for interesting reading but they don't confirm that all future Blizzard titles will be MMOGs!
