With the release of the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King there will be a whole new group of factions to grind reputation with. For many casual players these reputation items represent the best items they will get other than the few crafted items they can create. The Alliance has a number of these factions open to them.

Similar to the method used in the Burning Crusade, the reputation gear starts of as only so-so blue quality gear are friendly or honored, depending on the faction, and moves up to fairly decent epic quality gear at exalted. The quality of the best honor gear is just slightly below the first tier of raiding gear.

The Factions that have items available to the Alliance are:

The Argent Crusade

A great new mount available from the Wyrmrest Accord

The Argent Crusade is yet another faction that finds its roots in the Argent Dawn. This sub faction comes from a merger between the Argent Dawn and the Knights of the Silver Hand. They have several bases in many of the zones in Northrend. The vendor for their reputation items can be found at the Argent Stand in Zul'Drak.

Best gear is an epic caster plate helm, DPS mail chest piece, DPS leather boots, and a caster based ring

Frenzyheart Tribe

The Frenzyheart Tribe are a group of wolf like humanoids that form a brand new faction in the expansion. They can be found in the Sholazar Basin.

There is only one epic item available from them as they are a smaller faction, it is an epic trinket that increases haste rating and can cause you to become furious and cause more damage for 10 seconds.

The Kalu'ak

The Kalu'ak are a faction of the Tuskarr that can be found in the Howling Fjord. They are one of the smaller factions in the expansion and as such only have a single epic reputation item. That item is an epic fishing pole that does great damage, increases fishing by 30 and allows you to breath underwater!

Knights of the Ebon Blade

The Knights of the Ebon Blade are a group of reformed Death Knights that have now freed themselves from the Lich King. This is the group that player based Death Knights start as members of at their base of The Ebon Hold in the Eastern Plaguelands. They also have a base in Zul'Drak called Ebon Watch where you can find their reputation item vendor.

Besides the normal range of blue items and patterns they offer several epic quality items once you hit Exalted with them. These include plate dps boots, mail caster legs, leather dps chest, cloth caster belt.

The Kirin Tor

A nice robe you can purchase when exalted with the Kirin Tor

The Kirin Tor are a powerful group of mages that makeup the city of Dalaran. They want nothing more than to be left in peace to study and learn even more magic. They have been featured in many areas in Warcraft and the World of Warcraft and in the expansion: Wrath of the Lich King players get to make their way to their capital city of Dalaran. Dalaran can be found held aloft by magic, floating over the continent of Northrend.

They have some great epic gear available for when you become exalted with them including a cloth caster chest piece, a leather caster/melee waist piece, mail DPS boots, and a nice set of plate tanking gloves.

The Oracles

The Oracles are a group of Gorlocs that live in the Sholazar Basin. The Gorlocs are seemingly more evolved versions of Murlocs and are in the zone protecting the leftover titan technology. They oppose and feud with the Frenzyheart Tribe who are also found in the same zone.

There is only one epic item available from them as they are a smaller faction, it is an epic trinket. The trinket is for DPS players providing tons of crit rating (71) and the mysterious benefit of "Restores beneficial resources when you kill a target".

The Wyrmrest Accord

Players encounter the Wyrmrest Accord fairly early on in the expansion. Their base of operations is located at Wyrmrest Temple in the zone of Dragonblight, and the Accord is made up of the four Dragonflight factions (Bronze, Black, Green, and Red) that are fighting against the Blue. Besides the quests and excellent lore that they provide at the Temple, there are a number of good epic items available.

The epic items available at Exalted are cloth caster boots, leather DPS wrists, mail caster hands, plate DPS legs. In addition they have an extremely cool Red Dragon mount that can be purchased!
