Everyone knows that Necromancers control the undead. Pyromancers control fire. Then it stands to reason that Arachnomancers control… you guessed it! Arachnids! But who would want to harness the power of spiders and various other creepy crawlies that scurry across Lore? Who wants to strike fear into their opponents’ eyes with a single paralyzing OMG glance?

Join us this Friday when the brand-new, slightly-creepy, Arachnomancer armor makes its first ever appearance on the “Web”-based MMO AdventureQuest Worlds (www.AQ.com)! Login and witness the madness unravel in the mysterious valley of… well; it currently has no name, since no one has ever survived long enough to remember… Flooded with giant blade-wielding arachnids known as Dreadspiders, there is no better place to harness the prowess of Arachnomancer!

Enter this all-new area and embark on multiple quests in order to prove yourself worthy to the Queen Arachnomancer. There is no guarantee that you will be able to find such a mysterious place… so let’s hope your spider senses are buffed to the max! How sticky are YOUR feet?

Reliving Friday the 13th

Three Friday the 13ths in one year? Just how lucky can an unlucky day be? Greeted by the amazing musical artist, author, celebrity, and all around great guy Voltaire and his creation, Deady the terrible teddy, a concert unlike any other was held in the middle of Battleon. Over 27,000 of your friends attended, singing along with Voltaire’s AQW rendition of “Day of the Dead!” Woah… a song dedicated to the heroes of Lore? How awesome is that!? Don’t take our word on it; find out for yourself!

Even though Friday the 13th has passed (with our luck somewhat intact), you can still participate in the unlucky festivities! Voltaire is performing in Battleon every hour on the hour for the duration of the event! Be sure to go up to him after the concert and ask for an autograph. This unlocks a special Friday the 13th Achievement badge found in your Book of Lore and even on your character page! Congrats on surviving another Friday the 13th!

Blaring amplifiers, special FX, skeletal mariachi bands, and Gypsy pirate music not your thing? You might be more comfortable embarking on our first-ever destructible island map quest! Speak to Deady, the extraterrestrial homicidal teddy bear, for a mission that will send you through Skullpunch Island, lopping down trees and destroying rustic buildings in the process. Hunt for Voltaire’s legendary Top Hat that the indigenous skeletons of Skullpunch have stolen. One thing is certain: heads will /roll!

Did I forget to mention you’ll be dressed in a giant Deady mascot costume? This is the only armor suitable for such a dastardly quest. When you finally find the Top Hat… something goes horribly wrong—this was released on Friday the 13th, remember! Slay the beastie to get an equipable Skeleton Key that will unlock Deady’s Treasure Chest full of unlucky weapons and pets! Don’t worry… these pets have befallen enough bad luck that being cramped inside a dark, musky treasure chest is the LEAST of their problems.

This event will ONLY last until this Friday so make sure to get the gear while the getting’s good.

You betcha! Ever since TGIF was taken off the air, Friday nights have shriveled down to nothing more than sitcom reruns and over-crowded movie theaters. But AQWorlds is here to bring back the fun, old-school, funky-fresh, gamer style. Every Friday, new content, weapons, features, quests, and a bajillion other things are added into the world of Lore! How do we manage to do this? Easy, we make up numbers with no real quantitative value, like “bajillion”. Maybe it is due to the surplus of highly caffeinated beverages running through our veins? Mmmm... jitters.
