"Avatar Machine" is in the works

The royal college of arts has several new gaming projects in the works, one of which caught the attention of the media this past June 1. Dubbed the Avatar Machine, this device is set on the user's head, giving them first person view on an otherwise third person perspective in their games. In an interview with the designer of the Avatar Machine, he mentioned his inspiration for such a device came from WoW, thanks to its setting and way it controls. Players who would use this machine would also wear a costume to further enhance their gameplay and immersion.

You are correct in thinking that the project is World of Warcraft inspired. As the worlds most popular online game, the asthetics and characters of WOW are the most easily recognisable, also i wanted the character i created through the costume be be large in stature, so the user could experience a sense in invincibility when controlling the avatar on the interface.
