Jacobs Comments on Age of Conan

face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">One of the hottest
discussion topics of the week is easily in relation to an Mtv.com blog
from Tracy John that posted a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/09/02/mythic-vp-on-hellgate-and-age-of-conan/">discussion
with Mythic VP and Warhammer Online Lead; Mark Jacobs
.
In the blog Jacobs discussed Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures and why
he felt the game needed to be delayed a bit longer before launch. This
has generated a lot of discussion among the community on the forums.
What do you think? Is Mark Jacobs saying what a lot of people are
thinking or is he just using the hindsight is 20/20 approach? Read up
and let us know.

little PvP related post together to aid some community members in how
to avoid getting ambushed and what to do if you find yourself in such a

of the PvP environment in surviving the hostile waters a bit longer.

AoC turned the corner?

face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Negative threads have
been a dime a dozen since launch so its good to see a positive one turn
up every now and then. This thread was started by Anubisrex and asks
the question, "Has AoC turned the corner?" By the corner he means an
upswing in server population and game improvements. Many in this thread
agree, but there are those that feel otherwise. While AoC still has
it's share of issues, it has made great progress since launch and will
continue to do so with time. We have a big upcoming PvP update which
should make PvP activity a bit more interesting in the game and a free
content update coming down the road. What is your opinion? Do yo feel
AoC is on the upswing or do you think it is on the decline? Read up and
tell us your thoughts.

Grouping is exactly why I quit LotRO

face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I never try to tell
anyone how they must play. An MMORPG often provides enough options to
keep many players happy. The poster of this thread felt that there was
too much forced grouping in AoC. A statement I tend to disagree with.
In my opinion there isn't enough, but the statement made here is a bit
off in my view. Especially since my trip to level 80 was mostly solo
aside from a few times I laded a group or had a friend along. However,
most of those 80 levels were solo and I am one who enjoys a good group.
What is your opinion? Does AoC force too much grouping, or do you feel
as I do nd wish that there was more group focused content?

Mark Jacobs Talks Age of Conan

face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">This week Mythic VP and
Warhammer Online Lead; Mark Jacobs spoke with Tracy John on Mtv.com
about his view on the MMOG genre, why he wanted to see Age of Conan
(AoC) succeed, and why he thinks AoC should have been delayed. This has
generated a lot of discussion as some of the comments made by Jacobs
can be considered controversial. What do you think? Read the blog href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/09/02/mythic-vp-on-hellgate-and-age-of-conan/">here

mine) have laws in place that prohibit fireworks without a permit or

the reasons such laws exist. There are always a few people that will
ruin it for everyone. Well, at least this superstar won't have to worry
