Ekrund

Day after day, the battle for Ekrund rages without end. The Dwarfs fight with an iron determination, knowing that control of the fortress is the key to driving out the vile greenskins and retaking the land that once was theirs. For the Orcs and Goblins, Ekrund is a seemingly endless source of "stunties" to fight, with more arriving every day. It is a battle that could have far-reaching implications in the Age of Reckoning.

Basic Information

Ekrund is one of the more "solid" positions that the Dwarves hold in the Old World. Even with the constant sieges that the Greenskins lay against their fortress, the Dwarves continue to push inwards to launch attacks against their hated Greenskin enemies. As the fortress stays in Dwarf hands, more and more stunties continue to flood into the area to valiantly fight against any who would attack the fortress, or steal from the Dwarves.

The Fortress

The fortress of Ekrund was one of the first locations to be retaken when the Dwarves made their push into the Dragonback Mountains. Now firmly held by the forces of the High King, the Dwarves use it as a base in preperations to make their own attacks against the amassing Greenskin horde in the area.

Grungni's Workshop

As the Dwarves have retaken several outposts and storehouses; one of the main suppliers of their newly initiated war, is Grungni Rockcrusher and his workshop. Fabricating various Dwarven weapons of war such as Organ Guns, Gyrocopters, and even the much feared Flame Cannon. Dwarves looking at assisting the cause of Grungni and his construcion should stop by and offer what aid they can to the engineer.

Murgluk's Cave

Once a simple Goblin who made strange brews to better himself; one day Murgluk was lucky enough to add a piece of warpstone to one of his concoctions, and now the goblin has changed into something far more powerful then your standard Orc or Goblin. Hiding amongst the caves of Ekrund, Murgluk plots against everyone in the area; intent on proving that he is the biggest and baddest Greenskin around.

Sinkholes

Due to the seismic activity of the area; several sinkholes have begun to appear across the entire area of Ekrund. While most of these sinkholes are of little use to anyone, on the rare occasion a Dwarven fortification may have fallen into one. Who knows what treasures could be buried in the sinkholes of the once proud Dwarven constructions?

Goldfist's Hole

For Dwarven General Goldfist, it was just a bad day when he was sucked down into one of the sinkholes that are so frequent in Ekrund. Realizing the possible wealth that may have been lost with Goldfist; the Dwarves have constructed several pumping machines along the rim of the sinkhole to see what they can unearth from the former pavilion of the Dwarven General.

Dwarven Burial Chambers

Some foul magic seems to be at work in the ancient Dwarven Burial Chambers of Ekrund. A contingent of guards watch the entrance to the chambers, ensuring no trespassers enter, but even they seem to realize the spirits of the dead do not rest well. These chambers do prove a tempting target for Greenskins however, and so are still guarded diligently by the Dwarves.
