We all assumed that in the EverQuest 2 world, we'd never see the gods. Apparently we were wrong, and their influence will be felt in the next expansion. Moorgard explains that the gods never were gone for good and how they had a plan all along.

We absolutely never said the gods were gone for good. That was an assumption on your part. In truth, we've always intended for the influence of the gods to return in a significant way when the time was right.
