Blizzard Entertainment is if nothing else very thorough in the preparation of their games. It took over ten years to get a StarCraft sequel pushed into development and the very long wait for this long overdue sequel is almost over. Blizzard recently announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will officially launch July 27th, 2010. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is the first in a planned trilogy to Blizzard's popular RTS game that is still enjoyed by many on Battle.net today. StarCraft II will not only bring the next chapter of the StarCraft saga to players, but it will also be enjoyed on the newly revamped Battle.net 2.0. So mark your calendars and be ready for the first in the series that will put players in the role of Terran hero Jim Raynor. But don't worry, all three factions will be available for online play.
