Typically, waiting is the hardest part of any endeavor. Whether we're
waiting in line at the grocery store or waiting for our significant
other to href="http://www.ratemyeverything.net/image/6659/0/Lisa_McBrayer_will_you_marry_me.ashx"
target="_blank">pop "the question",
it's always the wait that we despise. However, that wasn't the case in
Evansville, Indiana, where over a hundred gamers (out of a city with a
population of around 350,000) came out to enjoy the dreary, cold night.
Ten Ton Hammer's Cody "Micajah" Bye was out with those gamers, and he's
penned his experiences from the "midnight run" to get href="http://wow.tentonhammer.com/" target="_blank">World
of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King!


To
be honest, the night felt like just the first of hundreds of quests
players will participate in while journeying through the new realm of
Northrend. With the chill night air adding atmosphere to the event,
players were locked in, and they could see that golden
“?” only a few
dozen yards away. Strangely, no one seemed to mind, even the few folks
that had been waiting for hours by the Gamestop doorway. According to
these patient individuals, they’d been waiting at the door
since 8:30
and still seemed ready to hold out a few more hours on top of that.
“I
just want the game,” the first guy in line said. “I
don’t care about
the Collector’s Edition, I just want to play.”
