Daily Column

13 new MMOG hand-crafted articles today! 213 so far in December!

The season of killing trees to celebrate goodwill to men is over. New Year's Eve is almost here! It's time to move on to making false promises to ourselves while intoxicated.

A big round of clap to Danny "Ralsu" Gourley for putting together Network Rewind - The Year In Ten Ton Hammer. I didn't realize that we brought so much talent into the team last year. I know that I speak for Jeff as well (I don't believe I have ever used that phrase before) when I say, "It's been great to have them on the team. Now get to work you slackers!"

2007 was a year of incredible growth for our network. We set records for pages viewed, number of visitors and articles written. It is only going to get better in 2008. I don't care what your ex-girlfriend told you, size matters and we're only going to get larger.

Our success is 100% because of the people we have on our team. There are many reasons that we can attract talented individuals like Jeff, Cody, Garrett, Katie and the rest of our team, but near the top of the list has to be our community. A community that has grown from our goal to provide informative and entertaining content.

With the exception of our EverQuest 2 guild we haven't spent much of our time creating a place for you to play not only with the Ten Ton Hammer staff, but with the other members of the network. In 2008 I would like that to change. It takes a special breed of person to be able to read this column every day. Like-minds are all around us. Wouldn't it be extraordinary to be part of a cross-game guild that was built by people just like you? Friendships are being forged in our forums. It's time that we provided a place for you miscreants not only to chat, but to dismember innocent virtual animals for points.

Personally, I have a hard time finding a guild that suits me, primarily because I don't want to be part of a guild that would have somebody like me in it. In 2008 I would like to form a Ten Ton Hammer guild for those of you, like me, who want to play with other Ten Ton Hammer members. It won't be easy, but it sure will be a lot of fun!

Do you feel the need to contact me? Your wish is my command. E-mail or Forums - The choice is yours!
