Jeff, Phil, Karen and I will be attending E3 this week. It will be fascinating to see what the show has become. The once loud, proud, draw a big crowd show has changed to what appears to be a non-show. Publishers have built their own fortresses of solitude, isolated from the rest of the industry, buried deep in the bowels of hotel suites across Santa Monica.

It was sometimes difficult to weave through the masses packed into the L.A. Convention Center, but at least the publishers were all in the same place. Our team didn't need to fight L.A. traffic to get to the next interview. That may not be the case this time around. I'm optimistic that the short cab rides will be uneventful, but you just never know what will happen in L.A. traffic.

It will be challenging to reply to all of the e-mail that I receive this week, but I'll do my best. Likewise, Loading... may be truncated into an E3 at a glance column.
