17 new MMOG articles today. For those of you keeping score that's 93 pieces of MMOG entertainment so far in October. No other network comes close.

The big news yesterday was a scoop by TenTonHammer. The Warhammer Online beta servers are going to be closed down for approximately two months. [Read the story here] The mumblings and rumblings across the Net were consistent in mumbling that the game was fun and working well. I wait with baited breath for the rumblings of dissent to begin to seep into message forums across the Internet. Rumours are all the masses will have and have at them they will. Perhaps Paul Barnett's signature glasses fell into the game engine, stopping it faster than Lindsay Lohan can get thrown in and out of rehab? There's a video of me wearing those glasses floating around someplace. I was announcing that Warhammer Online had won the Best of Show award at Leipzig this year and Paul graciously forced the spectacles upon me. I made a spectacle of myself.

A new comic was posted yesterday titled, Borat Plays WoW. Nice!

Nostalgia! My fondest MMOG memories are still from Everquest. Along with Ultima Online and Asheron's Call it was part of the trilogy of early MMOGs that brought me into this industry. Change is what keeps players coming back to a game, but it is the sentimental portions of the game that help make it great.
