Welcome to the latest World
of Warcraft newsletter from Ten Ton Hammer.
The Overpull, where we gather most of the things we should and
a
few we probably shouldn't.

In this section we'll look at the hits and misses taking place in the
game.

In
the good news/bad news department we have yet another announcement of
no patch being delivered. That's the bad news. The good news is that
you can now href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/66370">learn
about Arthas
with all of your free time. In what is supposedly a very good read,
Arthas (the book) should save some thumb cramping from all that
twiddling.

As discussed on The Instance podcast - did all of the work for April
Fool's push back the Noblegarden and even Patch 3.1? Blizzard always
goes above and beyond the others with the amount of content they create
for the day that surprises nobody. Isn't it a little tired? April fools
has lost it's luster, please don't wipe our new Ulduar raid for a silly
non-event.

Ah the good old
days. Some we miss, but most we just
appreciate (for the fact that they're gone!).

Do
you remember buying weapons or armor from vendors in the starting
areas? Back before the auction house was in our vocabulary, my merry
band of stumblers went into cities to find the armor and weapon
merchants in search of new gear. Little did we know that much better
loot was available in major cities (of course at that time the AHs were
few and far between).

It looks like 13 mounts are going to be added to the game when patch
3.1 ships. Do you remember how having one was a huge deal? And lordy be
when you got that first epic rider? That was back when the mounts cost
a fortune and training was cheap. My first epic mount was a tiger, and
I can remember it like it was yesterday. Now he is just one of many in
a tab somewhere on a character sheet.

Well
dang. It looks like we're still a week or more away from the patch.
This is a good thing right? I'm starting to doubt my own convictions
here. More testing equals better patch. That is the mantra.

The forums are starting to load up with "what other games should we
play" and "I'm outta here, see you after the patch, maybe" posts.
Beside hitting my macro that asks the poster for their stuff, I'm back
to my age old question of whether or not Blizzard is finally so
weighted down in decisions and testing and making up for previous
decisions that they can't move forward.

Guild debate of the week: "Weren't we supposed to be able to get the
same gear as 10 man raiders as those running 25 mans?" Wait don't go
nuts and say that 25 man content is tougher and should provide better
quality loot, we know that. The intent (per some) was that Blizzard was
going to make it harder for 10 man runners to get the 25 man loot, but
that it would be an option. Isn't that why the badge system is in
place?

The thought is that one could trade in 10 Emblems of Heroism for one
Valor. Would that really be a crime? I would argue that getting 10 EoHs
takes longer than getting 1 Emblem of Valor, but what do I know. I
would go out on a limb and say that we can PuG Obsidium Sanctum, Vault
of Archovon and even Naxx as a 25 man easier than a 10 man.

Life
lessons for this week:

Treat your guild bank like the penny jar at a store. If you need
something and will use it, then by all means put it to good use. If you
have a little extra that might help someone else out, then please think
of leaving something. But if you pour the whole penny jar into your
pocket, someone in line is going to take you out behind the shed and
teach you some manners.

Make sure you show up for the game in the right uniform. You wouldn't
wear high heels to play soccer would you? Oh no, please don't answer
that. Well make sure you arrive for raids on time and wearing the right
gear. This includes shin pads (gear enchants) and a jersey with your
name on it (gems). You'll need some orange slices at halftime
(consumables) and make sure you thank the coaches and referees after
the game (raid leaders).

Should I be able to trade 10 for 1 emblems? What was your first mount?
Do you put a penny in or take a penny out?  href="http://forums.tentonhammer.com/showthread.php?t=42200">Stop
by and let us know?

Until next week, have fun and thanks for reading,

Medeor
