DC Universe Online MMO News, Guides, and Features at Ten Ton Hammer

DC Universe Online experienced its fair share of growing pains when it made the switch to free-to-play. The influx of new players came a little faster than Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) had anticipated and it caused a few issues with server performance and accessibility. A surge of new players to a struggling game is always a good thing, even if it comes with a few hiccups.

SOE boss John Smedley tweeted earlier this week that DC universe Online player population had increased by almost 1000% what it was prior to free-to-play, but we now know through a new press release that the game has managed to attract over 1 million players in the first week. Certainly good news for DC Universe Online fans.
