Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) has gotten its first novel based on the online gaming world developed by Turbine. The Shard Axe was written by Marsheila Rockwell and is based on the character of Sentinel Marshal Sabira d’Deneith, who is returning to Stormreach following a mission that cost the life of her partner eight years earlier. But the ghosts of her past come in more than one form as she is recalled to the city to defend the heir to the dwarven city of Frostmantle during his murder trial with one little twist. The heir is the same person that she and her partner guarded eight years earlier from the same style of murders.

The full book is available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com. You can download a sample chapter of the book and learn more about it here.
