Remember that billing issue that Mythic had a while back that fired up the community after several of its players ended up being overcharged (in some cases in the thousands of dollars) for their Warhammer Online & Dark Age of Camelot subscriptions? Well here comes a repeat, this time it is Turbine’s neck on the chopping block.

Following a recent maintenance phase, some players started noticing that their accounts had been overcharged for their subscriptions, some over a hundred of times. The silver lining (as best as it can be) is that Turbine is aware of the issue and working with their partners to correct the problem according to a recent post from Turbine’s Tolero.

“There's no need to pick on players who are impacted by this issue, so let's lay off the accusations and elbow jabs please.

This impacted a limited number of players after the maintenance work, and we have a list of the affected users. We're working with our partners to make sure that over charges are reversed. You do not need to contact us to receive help, but if you have any questions you are welcome to call or send a ticket (phone is 1-855-WBGAMES and tickets contact can be done via http://support.turbine.com)

For now, you just may want to give your accounts a second look to be safe. With any luck this will all be resolved for affected players soon enough. But as with any financial dealings, it will probably take some frustrating time.

Thanks to all those that sent in tips.
