Dreamfall Chapters, the third installment to The Longest Journey series, blew past its $850,000 Kickstarter goal over the weekend with 19 days remaining. As of this writing, the Kickstarter has blown past its first stretch goal with $914,282, which will provide a launch version for Mac and Linux.

The latest Kickstarter update for Dreamfall Chapters offers a rundown of further stretch goals with the addition of more lore within the game by allowing players to help in rebuilding the Great Library of Marcuria at $950,000 and an even longer journey at the magical $1 million mark.

A Longer Journey ($1,000,000)

which we'll talk more about in the next few days. But we've already revealed that this tier brings back Abnaxus of the Venar. Abnaxus was an important part of The Longest Journey, but his role was unfortunately excised from Dreamfall, so we're very excited for the opportunity to tell his story again, and to revisit this strange, magical species that lives outside of time.
