With games like RIFT around the corner that display crazy invasions happening seemingly at random, it brings us back to a classic occurrence that forms the foundation of many of our MMORPG memories--the GM event. Whether it be insane bosses spawned in the middle of town square, hordes of enemies created near instantly, or a campfire chat with a man in a wizard hat, we all have our fond memory of when the gods intervened in our world.

Unfortunately, it was never in a good way, and we'll probably never see it another day. We debunk yet another myth of MMORPG Nostalgia with a piece on GM Events!
