Rumor: Elder Scrolls Online Announcement Coming in May?

Posted Fri, Mar 16, 2012 by Martuk

Fans of The Elder Scrolls series may have some good news coming their way next month. Tom’s Guide is reporting that an anonymous "industry source" has stated that Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios will officially announce Elder Scrolls Online in May. If true, Elder Scrolls Online will be an MMORPG set in the universe of the popular The Elder Scrolls series. According to the source, Elder Scrolls Online will likely take place several hundred years before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or during the “Second Era” of the series timeline.

As with all rumors from anonymous sources, we advise taking this with a grain of salt until officially confirmed. Stay tuned and we’ll update you when we learn more.

An anonymous source huh?
For all we know it could just be a nine year old in his moms basement playing a prank.

Really to the people who are freaking out over the time it takes place Skyrim took place a couple hundred years after the events of Oblivion but I do see how some might take going from the 4th era to the 2nd era might be a little extreme but about whomever said something about DLC's I'd rather have this then a DLC mainly because if there Fallout style you'll be paying 10 dollars for something you can easily beat in a day and if it's Elders Scrolls style DLC which are long and cost a lot more then they probably rushed it if they were to put it out this early and truthfully I don't care much for theere smaller DLC's like horse armor or DLc's that add a house you can buy or anything like that.

We haven't had enough time in Tamriel to form a true opinion of The Elder Scrolls Online, but we do know everyone is dying to know how the game is so far, so our review in progress shares what we think of our experiences so far in the world of TESO.
