Completion Quests

style="font-weight: bold;">Disclaimer:  As of July
25, 2007, the Pantheon of the Ancients quest series is bugged.
Sometimes the mobs won't spawn, or the quest won't update,
or other various bugs.  Some quests may be completable, but
proceed at your own risk.

The Layout of the Pantheon

Now that we're
inside the Pantheon, let's have a look at how it's laid out.
Coming down the stairs, we'll get to a large room with 4
exits; one on each side.  This is the Antechamber.
From the entrance, the exit to our left leads down to style="font-style: italic;">Tyrashnira's Lair
(otherwise known as the "evil" or "impure" side).  To our
right there is the "good" or "pure" side, otherwise known as the style="font-style: italic;">Corridor of the Pure.
Directly in front of us is a hall that leads to the upper
levels of both sides.  For now, we'll just concentrate on the
left exit, or Tyrashnira's
Lair
.  Head down that hall.

Tyrashnira's Lair

Heading down the hall, you'll encounter a few baddies.  It's
up to you whether you want to kill them or invis past them.
They don't see invis but are a healthy source of xp, and part
of a complete breakfast.  If you choose to fight them, they
are four dot level 27s.  They don't have any special abilities
of note, so they should go down fairly well with a group.
Beware there are some wanderers too, so you may want to pull
up the hall a bit until it's clear.

The hall will take you to the entrance of Tyrashnira's Lair.
This is where we can find a bunch of quests to get us started.

The Lair is a very large room with three "cubbies" on each side.
Each cubby contains an avatar of a god, who will give you a
quest.  To get the cloak we're going to need to do all quests
in here and on the pure side.

There are many mobs in this room.  For the most part, if you
stick to the sides, they're unlikely to bother you.  You'll
want to pay particular attention to where Tyrashnira roams though.
She will randomly aggro members of your group and is
unkillable.

"Nah, we can take her!" you protest.  Go ahead
and try. href="http://media.tentonhammer.com/vanguard/gallery/albums/album64/tyrashnira.jpg"> style="border: 0px solid ; width: 150px; height: 92px; float: right;"

alt="Tyrashnira" hspace="4" vspace="4">
She'll let you live for a bit.  Heck, she might even
let you think you're winning.  In the end though, she was
coded to be unkillable and her regen will simply not allow her to die.

After a few hours of trying to prove me wrong, run to the first cubby
on
the left from the entrance.  We'll get started on the first
quest.

Symphony of the Butcher

The first quest.
In this cubby you'll find the Avatar of Ghalnn. To get to
him, kill the two champions, and hail him and he'll give you a quest
called "Symphony of the Butcher."

What's this?
He fills your mind with gruesome images and wants you to fill
his bag with the heads of 100 innocents?  What kind of
atrocity is this!?  Well, it's the kind that will get you a
heroic cloak and some other goodies, so suck it up, and accept his
quest.  He is, after all, the Caller of War, and war is never
pretty.

We're going to have to run over to the "good" side now to finish this
quest.  We're also on a timer.  We have one hour to
finish this quest.

So head back up to the Antechamber, and this time we'll take the wing
directly in front of us (or right from the entrance).   Invis
or kill past the mobs in the hall, and you'll get to the "Corridor of
the Pure," which is similar to Tyrashnira's Lair in layout, but has
fluffy bunnies, rivers of chocolate and dancing singing bears instead
of snakes and bugs.  (Ok, not style="font-style: italic;">really.)

Head over to the second cubby on the left.  Here you'll find
the Avatar of Vothdar.  Again, kill the two champions, and
head into the cubby.

It's an AMBUSH!  Suddenly you'll find yourself being attacked
by dozens and dozens (100 to be precise) of innocents.  Oh
woeful day!  Bet you don't feel so guilty now.

You'll need 100 of their heads, so kill 100 of them.  Don't
worry, they won't stop spawning until you do.  They're one dot
level 1s, so hopefully your group should be able to handle them.

Tip:  Be
careful of AEing in here.  If you cast an Area of Effect
spell, you may aggro Vothdar, and that's a can of worms you DON'T want
to open.

Victory!
I may be assuming too much too early, but I'm going to go
ahead and guess that killing 100 one dot level 1s didn't prove too
hard.  Head on back to Ghalnn.

Hand him the bag of skulls, and he'll put a mark on your forehead.

Congratulations!  You have successfully completed the first
quest in the Pantheon of Ancients!  Go ahead and celebrate,
for the next quests await, and they will not all be that easy.
