Completion Quests
style="font-weight: bold;">Disclaimer:
As of July 25, 2007, the Pantheon of the Ancients quest
series is
bugged. Sometimes the mobs won't spawn, or the quest won't
update, or other various bugs. Some quests may be
completable,
but proceed at your own risk.
The Avatar of Theindal
This next quest in
the series may make one wonder a bit about the gods themselves.
Head on over to the Avatar of Theindal, who is located in the
third cubby on the right hand side of Tyrashnira's Lair. Hail
him and receive his quest.

Now, call me old-fashioned, but normally when I hail god avatars, I'm
not expecting a prissy whiny response complaining "Oh noz,
the avatar of Gloriann is much prettier than me!" And,
historically speaking, this kind of envy always ends badly.
Hasn't this guy ever seen Snow White? Or at least
an Alabama State Beauty Pageant? Surely his envy will be his
demise!
Nevertheless, accept the quest, and move on.
Recession of Beauty
At this point, Theindal will give you a flower he wants you to take
over to Gloriann. It's one of those booby-trapped flowers.
You know, the kind you buy your significant other when
they've done something really really bad.
Watch the text. He'll tell you specifically which person in
your party he wants to deliver the flower. This seems to be
random, and can end up as anyone in your party.
Once that is determined, either send, or escort the flower-bearer to
Gloriann. She's over on the other side of the Pantheon, in
the Hall of the Pure. She's in the first cubby on the left,
and you only have one hour to complete this quest.
Offer the flower to Gloriann and she'll let
you know that she's no dummy. She's wise

'ol Theindal's tricks. This gal is an old veteran in the game
of jealousy and sabotage. She'll send you back to Theindal,
mission failed.
Now if your group was waiting back at Theindal, they
would have received a quest completion message. They
style="font-style: italic;">could, at that
point, hail Theindal and complete the quest, but be warned:
Theindal won't be impressed. He actually ends up
throwing a hissy fit and tossing mobs at you that you'll have to kill.
The mobs vary, and can either be one large spider, or three
ghosts. They put up a bit of a fight, so I do advise having
your group there ready to take them on, lest you become pancakes.
As with any fight in any cubby, you'll want to watch the AEs.
Theindal's cruel, but he's substantially more cruel if you
aggro him with a fireball to the face.

And success! Not only have you completed the next part of the
Pantheon quest series, but you've also experienced first hand what
thousands of pageant managers experience on a daily basis.
Well, apart from the swords flying, spells blasting, and
ghosts and giant spiders swinging.
This kind of work seems to be a bit dangerous, so let's leave it up to
the pros and move on to the next quest in the series, "The Hunt."
