The Bladesworn Knight is a devoted
follower of the Lord of Blades. It might seem difficult to
reconcile a warforged paladin who is serving a deity who believes that
warforged are the superior form of life above all others.
However, aside from the haziness of Eberron alignment, the Bladesworn
knight believes that once the pesky fleshies are under proper authority
(the Lord of Blades) the warforged will be able to bring prosperity to
all races. This isn't without reason... in the Last War,
warforged units led by warforged were some of the most successful.
In combat, the Bladesworn Knight is very formidable, able to heal his
or herself (using lay of hands), having a fairly high damage reduction,
and being immune to critical hits. Note that the "weakling"
spells of clerics do not work on Bladesword Knights, but on the other
hand, they don't take a lot of damage from many hits, and have a high
armor class, and good saves. The smart Bladesworn Knight knows
when to bring out a shield and fight defensively, and should carry a
large amount of repair potions for bad situations. However, the
Bladesworn knight does have the Bladesworn transformation, turning into
a heavily defensive killing machine for a short time, and the ability
summon iron, steel and mithril companions to assist in combat.
