The Maestro is a bard who
specializes in his song.  He is perhaps the most party friendly of
all bard builds, since he makes everyone rogue and cleric a fighter,
and every fighter, barbarian and ranger into a deadly combatants. 
His song's provide very large href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=457">bonuses
to combat ability, plus large bonuses to saving throws against
fear.  The Maestro has enough songs to keep a party constantly
buffed, plus provide specific songs (inspire competance, etc) and
mesmerize opponents as often as he or she needs.



In addition to combat bonuses. the Maestro is outstanding at
mezmerization.  While getting the timing of href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=226">fascinating
opponents (when running up to them) can be difficult, a player using
the maestro build will find that they can mezmerize almost anyone who
is at all vulnerable to this ability when they attempt it.  With
the ability to mezmerize constructs and the undead, along with
thinking, living fores, this is a useful ability indeed.



The Maestro is not a master of melee combat, but doesn't have to
be.  An excellent spell caster with his or her spells, with
bonuses to penetrate the spell resistance of resistant foes, picking up
a friend or two to fight for the maestro is not a difficulty.
