The Mastermind

By Darkgolem

The Mastermind is a wizard build that specializes in crowd control and
Enchantments that control opponents.

Because this is a wizard build, it
has the versatility to fill other roles of all sorts. Hide in shadows
and move silently to approach within casting range for charm spells.
This is a pure wizard build that takes the fullest advantage of the
wizard's many Metamagic Feats. You'll need to become adept and
switching on and off the appropriate Metamagic Feat in the heat of
battle to get the best results from the Mastermind.

Notes:  Spell Focus
(Illusion) and (Enchantment) allow Hypnotic Pattern and the charm
spells to be used with maximum effectiveness. Alternately, if you
choose Spell Focus (Necromancy), then your Mastermind will be better
with Command Undead and Halt Undead. Heighten Spell allows the
Mastermind to save spell points using heightened charms and Command
Undead, and Improved Heightening reduces these costs. Sneak usage
allows approaching closer to cast charms, but if not feasible, Enlarge
can be used. Mental Toughness and Improved Mental Toughness allows the
Mastermind to cast his spells more often. The DC for the Mastermind's
spells is high, raised by +9 with Fox's Cunning, +10 if Spell Focus is
included.
