When House Cannith started 
sending warforged units to war for other houses, at first they used non
warforged leaders.  Mostly these would be members of the customer
house, but it is not unreasonable to premise that a seasoned warrior
who was accustomed to and used to leading warforged would assist the
customer house in leading the warforged units.  And so the
warforged captain came into being.



A warforged captain is a bardic member of House Cannith with the
powerful mark of making, allowing the captain to heal his troops in
combat, supplementing the use of href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=377">repair
wands.  Aside from the ability heal warforged, the captain has a
powerful bardic song, bolstering his troops before combat efficiently
and effectively.  Rounded off with Mithril, Steel and Iron
companions, and bardic href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=465">crowd
control spells, a warforged captain is a powerful leader and ally
for a warforged unit in combat.



In combat, the warforged captain first and foremost href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=414">
buffs his or her allies with songs and magic.  In addition,
summoning a mithril or similar companion is a good idea.  Finally,
using crowd control is handy in the fray.  During the combat, any
damaged warforged or their companions can be healed with the powers of
the captain's dragonmark.
