Welcome to the most-asked questions about the characters you'll be playing in Gods and Heroes! If you don't see your question here, then be sure to ask it on our forums! You might never know the answer if you don't ask :)

How many character classes are there?

Gods and Heroes will have 6 at launch--Gladiator, Soldier, Mystic, Priest, Scout, and Nomad.

What about the Rogue I'd been hearing about?

The Rogue was misbehaving, so Perpetual pulled him from launch, adding the Nomad in his place. They have assured us that the Rogue will return in the future.

Only 6 classes? Doesn't that mean everyone's going to be the same?

Not in the least. Each class has a Feat Tree they'll choose abilities from with Feat Points. These Feats will be able to be improved and eventually upgraded using those same points. However, you will not receive enough points to max everything.

But everyone will look the same, right?

Only if you try REALLY hard. You pick two colors for your clothing/armor, and then the system gets deep. While we haven't gotten a detailed look at the system, we do know it takes the effects of aging into account. Even if two people take the exact same face, if one's 18 and the other 36, they won't be identical.

What about the Gods?

You get to choose between two of the twelve deities, with the available choices depending on your chosen class. Each will grant your character godly powers, provided you have the favor.

I like to solo, but my Healer always dies trying it in other games.

Well, it's not exactly a question, but you won't have to worry about not being able to solo compliments of the minion system.

Minions? Guild Wars had those and they got me killed more often than they helped!

Those were very primitive minions. Perpetual's have proven to be much smarter, and will allow you to solo much of the content. You will have to take a more active role in commanding them, however.

So what races do I get to choose from?

At launch, everyone will be Roman. More races are planned for the future, many of which will likely have their own gods, and maybe even add more classes. I think we can expect a Roman character to be VERY different from an Egyptian one, for example.

Can I get a house for my character so I can put up my trophys?

Not that we can tell, however, each character gets his/her own camp. The player's camp is where you can store minions, pick up a quest on occasion, and upgrade your minions' gear.

I like roleplaying. Am I going to have anywhere to enjoy it?

Most definitely! There are many areas that look like they'll have that potential, such as Roman Baths.
