The Frostwolf Orcs are and were one of the original Orcish clans found on the planet of Draenor. This clan will play a prominent role in the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion as a faction that players can earn reputation with. Run by the legendary Durotan and Draka, mother and father of Thrall, this faction is understandably Horde only. Alliance players will never be able to earn reputation with this faction.

Brutal warriors, the Frostwolf Orcs can be found primarily in Frostfire Ridge. This zone is a place where only the strong survive and this clan is well equipped to do just that. The Frostwolf Orcs will call any Horde hero friend who can prove themselves worthy of their affection. Earning this faction's trust will allow the player to access rewards unique to the clan.

Players should not confuse this faction with the Frostwolf Clan faction of the past. These two factions, while spawned from the same idea, are two totally different entities at this point in the game. Earning reputation with one faction does not earn reputation with the other and vice versa.

Frostwolf Orcs – Earning Reputation

Horde players who wish to earn reputation with the Frostwolf Orc faction will have two methods to gain their favor; quests and mobs. Both methods are relatively simple and will be pretty painless for players, a far cry from the headache inducing faction grinds of the past.

While players will need to complete quests to earn reputation with the Frostwolf Orcs, they will not be the Daily Quests of the past. Instead players need only to quest through the Draenor zones and head back to complete bonus quests found along the way. Daily Quests have become a thing of the past and we are mostly going to be happier for this change. Quests for this faction can be found in these zones:

  • Frostfire Ridge
  • Talador
  • Your Garrison

One quest, And Justice for Thrall, can be completed in Nagrand for reputation with this faction. Of course, most quests giving reputation for this faction can be found in Frostfire Ridge, the home of the Frostwolf Orcs. Completing all quests in these zones relating to this faction should easily push you into Revered status.

To get to Exalted or just to earn some extra faction reputation along the way, players will need to kill mobs. While this won't be as engaging as the completion of quests, you can do it at your leisure and kill as many or as few as you want. Mobs that grant experience for the Frostwolf Orcs must come from level 100 areas in Frostfire Ridge. These areas include:

  • The Iron Siegeworks – Very East of the Zone.
  • Magnarok – East of Crackling Plains.
  • Stonefury Cliffs – Near the entrance of the Bloodmaul Slag Mines.

Go to any of these spots and kill any mob to earn experience with this faction. It really is as easy as that!

Frostwolf Orcs - Rewards

Of course, if you are going to take the time to earn reputation with the Frostwolf Orcs, you probably expect to be rewarded for it. All rewards for Frostwolf Orc reputation can purchased from Quartermaster Beska Redtusk, who will be glad to serve any friends of this faction. Beska can be found in the city of Warspear, Ashran.

Once found, players can purchase a host of items from Beska based on their current reputation. Rewards can be purchased with Gold or a combination of Gold and Apexis Crystals. The better your reputation, the better rewards available to you.

Rewards for the Frostwolf Orcs include:

Frostwolf Elixir – Grants a chance to deal frost damage and increases your movement speed by 5% for 30 minutes. Can only be used in the Frostfire Ridge zone.

Howl of the Frostwolf – Summons a Frostwolf to fight for you.

Permanent Frost Essence – Toy that turns your character blue.

Bladespire Relic – Functions as an additional Hearthstone to Bladespire Fortress in Frostfire Ridge.

Contract: Karg Bloodfury – Earns you Garrison Follower Cleric Maluuf / Karg Bloodfury.

Frostwolf Pup – Frostwolf Pup battle pet.

Swift Frostwolf – Ground Mount.
