West of Plains Post in Torden Incline stands an AFS base hollowed out of the hardened lava flows. The base contains a waypoint transporter, a Hospital tent with a medical vendor and a slew of surly AFS soldiers that want you to do all their work for them. Down to the west is the small Mires Post with a waypoint to aid your travels to the close by Mires tunnel, and the science stations in Pax Oasis. You won’t find any happy people here, so you’ll have to take satisfaction in the large amount of work you’re about to do. We continue our Nyxroq Post Guide here with Part 2.

Stalker Cores Over Hard: Inside the bunker at -241,232,-202 is a surly Chief Engineer Hay who isn’t too fond of the base commander, it seems. Hay wants to aid the work of Slappy (that guy from the Plains), who is studying the Bane Stalkers. You need to help them out by acquiring some Bio-Plasma Cores. The cores are random drops off any stalkers in the zone, such as the ones found in the Pinnacle Badlands around 342,268,187. When you’ve got enough you can take them back to Chief Engineer Hay for 5400 credits and choice of Laser Chaingun, Ice Leech Gun or Sonic Pistol.

Stalker, Stalker: Field Commander Foletto inside the bunker near Engineer Hay needs some help with Stalkers too. He’s got a problem with “those three-legged monstrosities the Bane tout around, and I ain’t talkin’ about what you’d see in a men’s latrine.” Make your fellow soldier’s lives easier and take 5 of these guys out. Return to Foletto to cheers of “Well step in shit and cheer for oil! That’s some tight shootin’ ya did, soldier.” He also hands over 5400 credits and choice of Bio Armor Gloves, Mech Armor Gloves or Reflective armor Boots.

Attack of the Drones: Don’t think you’re getting away from Commander Foletto’s foul mouth yet. He’s sending you over to the Comm Tower to help the AFS teams inside take the radio station back from the invading Bane. Use the Comm Tower Guide for help in completing this mission. Finishing this mission will get you 4800 credits and choice of Graviton Boots, Hazmat Gloves or Stealth Boots.

The Guns of Nyxroq: Man, Foletto really has a lot on his mind. “Don’t let anyone tell ya different, this is Hell alright. We’ve been bad humans and this is our fate – an endless battle of attrition.” Hurry and get these missions done so you won’t have to listen to his jabber anymore. One of the best features of Nyxroq Post is the oodles of mortars surrounding the area, and you need to take them out. Head out to the mortars in the area of -331,242,-95. You’ve got to destroy 5 of them to complete the mission and earn your reward of 5400 credits and choice of Graviton, Stealth or Hazmat Boots.

Play Dirty, Win Big: Field Commander Foletto praises you for taking out the mortars, even though they get replaced almost as soon as they are destroyed. “We might as well be a bunch of masturbating eunuchs, for all the good this’ll do,” he says. You did well, though, and he has another mission for you. “Don’t worry, it’s a suicide mission if I send out any other grunt. You’ll probably not only finish the mission, but you’ll also probably sprout wings and shoot Lightning out your ass.” With that motivational speech, he sends you out to a pillbox at -332,248,-66 to remove a named Thrax Technician name Nyxroq, and retrieve the coordinates for the mortars’ power station from a console inside. Take the station coordinates back to Foletto and receive 5600 credits and choice of Stealth, Graviton or Hazmat Pants.

Kick Crusty in the Jimmy: Field Commander Foletto now knows where the power generators are, and he tasks you with blowing them up. He hands you a few detonators and points you toward the Bane outpost. If you can blow one power generator up, it should cause the other generator to go. You’ll also want to blow up the landing pad there to prevent the area from being resupplied. The Landing Pad is at -474,248,-138, and the Generator is a few feet away. This area is full of Reconstructor and Warden Bots, Predators and other assorted Bane, so watch out. When you have accomplished the mission, Foletto will hand you 5600 credits and choice of Ice Injector Gun, Electric Pistol or Sonic Cannon.

Report to Field Sergeant Hanna: You’ve done the AFS proud, and Foletto is ready to send you out to help Field Sergeant Hanna at Raintree Post to the north. You’ll find her near the Raintree Post Waypoint at -176,276,279, where she’ll give 2800 credits and choice of Consumables for reporting in.
