Nomads Reviewed

By Charabis

Hello once more and welcome to another episode of the Search for Rare and Wonderous Creatures of the Gaming World. Today, we've gone on a very long journey in search of the

Nomad. These creatures, true to their name, don't stay put for long, requiring us to search far and wide to find them. This would likely be one of our most rewarding outtings,

but possibly the most difficult of this season.

Our first stop was Perpetual Studios' homepage for Gods and Heroes to see how they described them. It didn't take much to find their description of the Nomad, which we have

brought to you, run-on sentence and all:

Scions of Mercury or Nemesis, Nomads are itinerant heroes who are equally adept at healing and fighting, thus they can cast Cure, which removes any magic or poison spell from

one of their allies, as well as Bolt of the Heavens, which strikes their enemies with a deadly lighting bolt.

For the benefit of those who aren't sure what "itinerant" means, we've opted to provide a quick definition. In simple terms, they move around a lot, calling no single place

home. They don't call them Nomads for nothing!

While we clearly wanted to know more about these powers, we found no information available yet regarding their feats. As the newest persona being bred for us, it was to be

expected. Still, we were sure there was much more out there to be found, so we shouldered our packs and moved on.

Interestingly, as we returned for more supplies, we found that, the more we looked for more information, the more we were directed back to where we started! So we hurried back

home, promptly finding this wonderful article that Micajah had posted about the Nomad! This bit really got our

blood pumping:

On the offensive side, Nomads have an exclusive set of instant cast spells that can supplement anything the Nomad is doing with some instant damage and an added effect. Add to

this the fact that Nomads have a wide range of weapons and armor (leather and mail armor, along with some two-handed weapons or small shields) skills which make the Nomad

adaptable to almost any role.

Good stuff! Regrettably, searching farther, we couldn't find anything new. Considering the Nomad was only announced in March, it's not that surprising. Still, we

swore we would be keeping our eyes out for further developments. We weren't ready to give up on this remarkable creature entirely, especially after spotting this beauty!

Hey, if that doesn't deserve more research, I don't know what does! Until next time be safe and have fun!

Games Radar has acquired some basic information on two of the feats for the Nomad, as well as a couple of the godly powers you may receive. For more on the Godly powers you may be granted, be sure to visit them!

The first ability we learned of, Brutal Strike, is every bit as nasty as it sounds. Using this ability increases the amount of damage your next attack will inflict. It's unknown at this time whether the increase is a set amount of damage or a percentage, but we'll keep looking!

The second ability is a higher-level feat that Nomads can use. This feat, known as Healing Wind, is an interesting heal. First, it restores some health to your target. Then, it continues healing them over time!

Clearly, these two feats show off the versatility Perpetual was aiming for when breeding these avatars for us. Realizing our work here was done once more, we shouldered our packs and returned home. Be sure to join us later today for an update on the most pious of all the classes, the Priest. Until then, this is Charabis saying, goodnight for Search for Rare and Wonderous Creatures of the Gaming World!
