ArenaNet Retrospective

We’ve all been chomping at the bit for new info to emerge from ArenaNet about upcoming Guild Wars 2 which is funny if you think about it, considering I’m fairly certain none of us are secretly educated horses. That’s also one of the bigger question marks about GW2 – we know it will have a means of fast travel just like the original, but will the game also feature mounts in some form or another? I don’t know about you, but I’d love to have my necromancer ride around on one of those snazzy skeletal horses you see the undead riding through various parts of Tyria. How awesome would that be?

If the rumors are to be believed, some fresh profession reveals and other new gameplay details should be rolling out of the ArenaNet HQ in the very near future. In the meantime, a brand new retrospective video has been released featuring a rare, behind the scenes look at the people behind the Guild Wars phenomenon.

In typical ArenaNet fashion, if you’re thinking something like a retrospective video isn’t a reason to get excited, guess again. Clocking in at a full 15 minutes, this video is as richly detailed as those commonly reserved for those fans willing to fork over the extra cash for collector’s editions. It takes you through some of the company’s 10 year history, and provides plenty of interesting Guild Wars 2 game footage and developer interviews, as well as a look inside the offices where the game is currently being developed.

A video that celebrates the fans of the franchise as much as the company that brought it to life, be sure to check out the full ArenaNet Retrospective on the following page.
