The Lord of the Rings Online: Helm’s Deep Expansion Goes Live

Posted Wed, Nov 20, 2013 by Martuk

Turbine pushed back the launch of The Lord of the Rings Online’s (LOTRO) Helm’s Deep expansion earlier this week following a weekend power outage at their data center. But today the wait is over as Helm’s Deep deployed to live servers today. The continuing story of the expansion will take players to the iconic location of Helm’s Deep, where they will take part in one of the most epic battles of Middle-earth.

In addition to new story and Rohan locations to explore, the expansion also brings a level cap boost from 85 to 95 and a major class revamp, adding new trait trees, stat cap adjustments, and much more. Read all about the latest changes in the official Helm’s Deep patch notes.

You can sign up to play for free on the LOTRO website. The Helm’s Deep expansion can be purchased separately.
