A new PvP mode has launched in beta form for Marvel Heroes this week with Fire & Ice. The new mode pits two teams of five players against each other. Each team must defend its team of giants while destroying the enemy’s giants as they attempt to destroy the enemy base. During the battle, players can earn Runestones, which can be traded for PvP buffs and other utilities.

In addition to the new mode, Gazillion CEO David Brevik posted a new update to discuss the future of Marvel Heroes beyond the recently launched 2.0: Asgard update. Brevik reiterated Gazillion’s commitment to creating lots of future content through their agreement with Marvel, the first of which will include the addition of Gambit, who will be headed to public testing soon.

Brevik also announced some pricing changes for Marvel Heroes, eliminating the 1100G (the currency purchased for cash) tier of some heroes and making them available for 900G or 400 Eternity Splinters, which can be acquired through gameplay.

“To keep parity between the 3 pricing levels, we're moving the 1450G hero level down to 1350G, resulting in 3 simple levels of 450, 900 and 1350G,” Brevik wrote.
