BioWare Announces Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack DLC

Posted Thu, May 24, 2012 by Martuk

Earlier this month rumors leaked out that Mass Effect 3 had some new multiplayer DLC coming with the Rebellion Pack, which was rumored to have a release date set for May 16th. BioWare Community Coordinator Chris Priestly shot down the rumor, but today the multiplayer Rebellion Pack has officially been announced and will be making its way to players on next week.

The Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack will include two new maps (Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia), three new weapons (Reegar Carbine, Krysae Sniper Rifle, Cerberus Harrier), new consumables and six new characters with the Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel and the Ex-Cerberus Adept and Vanguard.

The Rebellion Pack launches on PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360 in North America on May 29th. The new multiplayer DLC will be available to players for free (assuming you redeemed an Online Pass available with new copies of Mass Effect 3), making it the second free DLC release for Mass Effect 3. As for the single player Extended Cut DLC to address the controversial ending to the series, fans will have to wait a bit longer.

Much has recently been made of the sreilaiitims (???) between the teapublicans and OWS. Your most recent blog is a sharp reminder that the two have no common ground and, perhaps more importantly, the comparison points to the superficiality of the analysts. Yes your thoughts and projections are dark and hopefully will not come about. Yet, I too feel a deep forboding and have largely been absent from political reading and discussion. There are people whose positions are such that I choose to decline any discourse. Well, no one ever said that fighting the good fight; win. lose or draw, would be easy. The feeling is akin to the third law of thermodynamics redefined. That is, you can't win, you can't break even, and you can't get out of the game. Perhaps that law is incorrect. Carry on old man. You've somewhat roused this old, but younger, man.

Today is N7 Day and BioWare put the band back together to thank Mass Effect fans for a trilogy of fun.
