Gamescom has just wrapped up with a reported attendence of 345,000 people from over 90 different countries around the world. One of the major attractions was Star Wars Battlefront, which took the Gamescom Most Wanted Consumer award. It also managed to grab the Best Console Game Sony Playstation, Best PC Game and Best Online Multiplayer Game.

A lot of the hype around Battlefront came from it's big reveal of the Fighter Squadron gameplay mode which they also provided hands on previews for the entire show. Fighter Squadron puts the players behind the stick of some of the most iconic Star Wars space craft to do battle in different dog fight scenearios around the galaxy. Gamescom was the first time this game mode was revealed, with many fans wondering if it was to be included at all.

Star Wars Battlefront is scheduled to be released on November 17th for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
