If you are a fan of The Mummy movies, or maybe just a fan of Brendon Frasier like me, then you might be interested in this recent announcement from the German developer, Bigpoint.



The Mummy Online, the latest game to make Bigpoint's growing roster, is modeled after the popular movie series and takes place in Egypt where players will take on fearsome creatures in a free-to-player browser format. Gamasutra has the details.

As with the movies starring Brendan Fraser, The Mummy Online is set in Egypt during the first half of the 20th century. Players will take on the role of adventure seekers with customizable talents and skills, exploring environments and meeting characters from the films as they battle against each other and "ancient evil".

Bigpoint is a busy developer lately having also picked up the rights to create a Battlestar Galactica MMOG based on the popular television series.
