A while back, we reported that a big Hearthstone announcement will be coming on July 22nd. It seems this isn't going to be just any announcement, as Blizzard is planning an entire event around it. Starting at 2:30pm PDT/5:30pm EDT, a live event will begin at the Folsom Street Foundry in San Francisco, CA. Fans are invited to attend in person, or check out the proceedings on the official Twitch channel.

Rachel "Seltzer" Quirico will be hosting the proceedings, which will include special Hearthstone matches (featuring Frodan and Kripparian), the aforementioned announcement, and talking with developers, with game director Eric Dodds making an appearance. Those looking to attend in person should check in on the Facebook event page, while the rest of us will have to be content checking out the live stream.

The initial speculation was simply that a new card expansion will be announced, but now it's worth wondering if there might be more to it than that. Either way, we have just over a week to speculate before we can finally find out exactly what's in store.
