Things have been pretty quiet surrounding Tom Clancy's The Division, but the silence broke in a recent post to the game's official site giving some new details around the game's progressions system. Although we dont' have the full picture yet, the Division is looking like it very closely mirrors the leveling system on an MMO. Here's a short excerpt from the section titled Experience:

Every adversary we encounter in The Division is tied to a level, just as our agents are, so naturally those who are of a higher level are more difficult and pose a much greater threat. However, with every level up your agent becomes more powerful and gains access to more advanced technology,  unlocking skill modifications along with talents to assist them with even greater challenges.

Sound familiar? You even spawn at a safe point a short distance away when you die, an MMO stable for years. Not that any of this is a bad thing, actually quite the opposite. Any innovation into the MMO realm is a welcome one, especially with the recent popularity of MMOish games like Destiny and Warframe.

The Division is set to release sometime in Q1/Q2 2016.
