According to some mysterious sources over at Kotaku, Destiny 2 has been delayed and won't see the light of day until something in 2017. At this point the news is just a rumor and hasn't been confirmed either by the Bungie or Activision, but if it is indeed true, it's troubling news for a game that has had a serious case of the "blahs" since the Taken King released in September.

Bungie has already said that there won't be any more DLC for Destiny this year, and is instead opting for regular events throughout the year. While the events can be a fun distraction, they don't really compare with the staples of Destiny which are new raids and strikes no matter how good the rewards become. If the most we have to look forward to all year are valentines day quests and Easter egg hunts, then Destiny may be in trouble of losing a sizable chunk of it's players.
