Just in time for the holiday spending spree, Destiny is introducing a Refer-A-Friend system that will reward players who get their friends into Destiny. Programs like this have been a longstanding part of MMO games, usually rewarding things like exclusive cosmetic items, or a boost to levels and experience gained for the invited and invitee. 

To qualify for the rewards, you must be inviting an entirely new Destiny player. Once you do and they've made the game purchase, you will both be given an exclusive quest that can be completed together for the RaF rewards. The quests must b completed with the referred friend in your fireteam, or you will not receive any of the rewards. For the full rule set, check out the official FAQ.

Some of the rewards for the service include all new emotes, legendary swords, a legendary sparrow, a shader, and an emblem. Expect more details on the program being revealed as we approach the holiday season.
