Blood, madness, candy, and chaos are just a few things that you’ll see in Guild Wars 2 (GW2) today with the newly launched Blood and Madness update. Included in today’s update is the rise of Mad King Thorn’s son, Bloody Prince Thorn, new achievements, PvP in the Lunatic Inquisition, Halloween themed weapons and rewards, and the return of the Mad Realm, allowing players to once again take on the challenge of the Mad King’s Labyrinth and Clocktower.

In addition to new Halloween content, GW2 also received new quality of life improvements for combat with ground targeting options, improved targeting, a new optional display for condition numbers, trait and skill tooltip, and class balance updates to better improve support builds for all professions.

The last big feature on the ticket for today is the start of WvW Season One, which is set to kick off on Friday, October 18th. Each world will be assigned to a league where they will compete against other worlds for rewards each week and, of course, bragging rights.
