Having teased all day, Blizzard have today revealed the next hero set to be released for Heroes of the Storm. Maelthael from Diablo has a fairly extension history and his lore is fairly robust if you dig into the history of the game. 

As with the rest of the Heavenly Host and its leaders, Malthael participated in the Great Conflict and played a crucial role in it. He was the first leader of the Angiris Council (and its eldest member) and through it, angelkind as a whole. According to Itherael, when the angels were young, Malthael was the one who found the Eye of Anu in Pandemonium and named it the Worldstone. Malthael himself developed a deep affinity with the stone, valuing it even more than other angels.

Where his kit is concerned, he looks like another hero capable of finishing Tychus' shoes, with his trait dealing maximum health damage every second and his abilities applying the trait. Hopefully his Spotlight video should release soon and we'll be sure to have his guide online ASAP.
