Less than a month remaining until Halo 5 Guardians ships and the ONI propaganda machine is in full swing with a new live action trailer depicting a news broadcast of the apparent death of the Master Chief himself. If you've been following along with the "Hunting the Truth" podcast this may already be seeming a little fishy to you, especially since the chief has survived falling from space only to be apparently taken down by the fairly tame method shown in the video.

The entire game seems to revolve around some sort of mysterious happening involving the chief either commiting treason or going rogue somehow, which would be a pretty good reason for the authorities to fake his death. The truth of the matter will only be revealed on October 27th on the Xbox One (suspiciously the same date as the suposed death of Master Chief).
