It looks like Nexon is looking to invade Xbox Live with its MMOG, Dungeon Fighter Online (DFO). According to a recent press release, Nexon's free-to-play multiplayer dungeon brawler will launch in seven languages for the Xbox 360 and be free to download, but like the PC version, money will be made from microtransactions. DFO is Nexon's first venture into the console market and is scheduled to hit Xbox Live sometime later this year.
This agreement is a significant step forward for Nexon, said Min Suh, Nexons chief executive officer. For some time we have been seeking opportunities to expand beyond online PC gaming and move into new platforms like Xbox LIVE Arcade. With the help of Microsoft Game Studios deep development and localization experience, we anticipate that Dungeon Fighter Online will bring enjoyment to entirely new audiences on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
