It looks like the indies are the way of the future.

According to Analysys International, a leading adviser in TMT field in China, the large, consolidated game companies in China are projected to increasingly lose share to smaller competitors who focus on one or two games.

In 2007, more and more online game developers that can build games independently made profited from just one or two products. That shows independent developer is more likely to win the market. So, more such developers are estimated to emerge in 2008. And they will snatch share from the big ones, according to Analysys International.
