RIFT is still getting updates regularly, with the latest update 3.4 "Into the Wilds" coming on October 7th. What kind of amazing features are coming in this new update? Well Trion did a quick summary today to let us know:

Targeted for Wednesday, October 7, 2015, RIFT 3.4: Into the Wilds brings a new Zone, new Calling, new Dungeon, new Warfront, and much, much more!

Sealed away from Telara for decades through the magic of the Infinity Gate, the Planetouched Wilds are a mystery, open to all at long last. News of the discovery entices adventurers to discover the lost lands and experience the wonders therein.

New features include:

• New Zone: Plane Touched Wilds
• Primalist: New calling (requires purchase)
• Rhaza'de Canyons
• Assault on Iron Tombs
• Crafting boost, new Planar crafting varieties.
• Updates coming even further down the pipeline.

You can read about the update here. RIFT is still a rather popular and active game. I've found enjoyable every time I've ever played it and I'm so happy to see an MMO like this still be updated so frequently still. RIFT has been around for awhile, I believe it came out just a few years after WoW. This update will be free and RIFT still remains free-to-play to this day.
