The initial announcement that SOE would be transferring the European operations for its games to ProSieben Games was not exactly welcome news for many players of EverQuest II and other SOE titles. Luckily, some of the segregation restrictions initially put in place were removed, allowing EU and US players to continue playing together and even keep using their SOE account as a service rather than transitioning to ProSieben. But this week more headaches arose for players following the ProSieben transition. Players are reporting that their SOE accounts are no longer accepting certain EU regions when adding or changing credit card payment options.

Suffice to say, with the option to transfer to ProSibien now past, this has raised quite a stir to players concerned that SOE may have left them with no choice but to start completely over on a ProSibien account. Fortunately, that isn't the case and SOE’s Drexela has posted a response to players on the issue along with a workaround.

Hey all,

We are looking for a fix to the issue that caused the removal of the countries from the credit card list.

In the meantime, you can update your account by using account management on the SOE General site (rather than EQ2-specific). On soe.com, select "My Account" from the top navigation and proceed from there.

Thanks,

Dexella
