Star Trek Online is a geeky space MMO that has space combat and ground combat mixed into one game. In an upcoming update, three new ships will receive a tier six upgrade: Odyssey, Scimitar and Bortasqu’. Each one has three variants as well, so it's almost like 9 brand new ships are coming to STO, kinda! Anyway, these ships will be in the game rather soon.
After achieving level 5 in your Tactical variant Flagship’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Super Charged Weapons Starship Trait. While this trait is slotted, firing a torpedo will provide a stack of the Super Charged buff. This buff provides a boost to directed energy weapon damage, critical hit chance and critical severity for a short time. This buff stacks up to 3 times.
Tier 6 ships are upgraded Tier 5 ships usually available in the C-store for about 3,000 zen. They include a few extras over the tier 5 variants, so this gives you some new ways to build out your characters / ships / etc. The ships being upgraded are flagships and are due for this ugprade, which will be coming to the game soon.
