Star Wars Battlefront officially launches November 17th, but fans will be able to take the game for a drive a month early on October 17th. EA announced the beta yesterday along side the news that the beta will be open to all 3 official launch platforms, the PS4, Xbox One and PC. 

You wont need any sort of invitiation or special status to take part in the beta, anyone with an internet connection can download the game and try it out.

There will be several game modes available to play including a Hoth based walker assault featuring 20 vs 20 big team battles, a survival mode on Tattooine (think horde mode), and Drop Zone a variant on the classic King of the Hill game type.

At the same time the beta takes place, EA will also be testing out their mobile and web based app that goes along with the game.The app will let you check your in-game stats, chat with your friends, and play a star wars card game that gains you points you can use in Battlefront.
